First a short semantic clarification : trekking is a long distance walk over several days without driving (drive only to reach the starting point and leave from the ending point) ; hiking is usualy over a single day…

So, we offer Trekking and Hiking Tours, or, of an easier level, Discovery Tours.

Practically, how it works?

Organisation

It’s wuite simple : 4WD cars drop us at the start of the trek, and then we do all the stages by foot.

1 car stays with us in order to move luggages, camping equipment (if we have overnights wild camping), and to resupply with food and water.

At the end of the trek, we find again cars to drive back…

Portage

Most of the time, we carry only the things which we need for the day(water, part of the collective picnic lunch, and personals), and we find the luggages in the evening.

On some stages (it’s always clearly specified in the itineraries), we do not meet the vehicules and the lugages in the evening. In this case, you also have to carry the things you will need at night.

If the night is in hotel or guesthouse, you don’t have to carry much more (warmer clothes for the evening and a few personal belongings), since bedsheets, blankets, and bath towels are provided.

If the overnight is a bivouac, you will also have to carry your sleeping bag and mattress (foam or thermarest).

Regarding drinking water, we make sure that it is available every day.

Our ethics about mountain hiking and trekking

First, we like to hike in the mountain, in the wadis, on the coastline, or in the desert, because we love nature, and hiking is the best way to discover it : walking, we access much wilder places, and we have time to contemplate the nature in its details as well as in its extent.

These are also environments where human being, through watching and understanding nature, developped with ingenuity traditional lifestyles totally incluenced by it. Facing this beautiful and generous, but also sometimes rugged and harsh nature, they have delopped values of humility, courage, and solidarity. This heritage reached to us, and when we visit these wild places, we make these values ours.

So, we are not in a spirit of competition and racing… you’ll find here more details about a typical hiking day in the mountain with us.
