In 2010, Ibrahim & Antoine opened the tour operator AL MAALAM TOURS which has developped over 6 years to become a leading company in the field of trekking and adventure tourism in Oman.
It was a great adventure which brought us a lot. With our guides we formed a strong team both professional (serious and experimented), and relaxed. We enjoyed a lot showing Oman to our guests, as well as always exploring new routes in mountains, wadis, and desert. And above all, we had a lot of fun!
After these 6 ecellent years, in 2016, we were feeling like doing something else...
So that this great adventure does not stop suddenly and goes on another way, we decided to change a bit our website so that it helps connect travellers to the guides who have worked with us.
I come from Nizwa. I have worked for 10 years as a trekking guide and also manager of Al Maalam Tours.
I can do all kind of tours, from easy to demanding. In winter, I like particularly trips with mountain hiking and canyoning, as well as desert tours. In Summer (from end of April until mid october) I take only canyoning trips, because it is too hot for hiking or desert tours.
I also rent camping equipment.
I'm married and I have one child. I was born in 1988 and come from the mountains of Tiwi (wadi Ash Shab)
I'm available all the year for any kind of tours (easy, demanding, short, or long)

Fascinated by the diversity of the landscapes of the Sultanate of Oman, by its history and by its cultures, curious about its old donkey paths and about the one and thousand wadis, I have guided groups for 7 years.
Today, I take a different path, a swiss one and it’s only from autumn 2017 that I will propose new trekking and swimtrekking tours for made up groups (min. 6 persons).
And from now until then, there is time and space to dream…

I’ll be happy to guide you in the north of Oman for hiking and trekking tours (easy or difficult), sightseeing trips in wadis, mountains and desert, or for birdwatching tours...
We also wanted to thank all the people who helped us during these 6 years.
